Komisi Penyiaran Indonesia (KPI) melayangkan surat peringatan ke pihak Shopee karena menayangkan iklan dengan model idol group asal Korea Selatan, BLACKPINK, karena dianggap melanggar norma kesopanan. Namun, ternyata iklan tersebut sudah telah dinyatakan lolos sensor oleh Lembaga Sensor Film (LSF), lembaga resmi pemerintah yang dibentuk berdasar UU Perfilman. 

"Pada dasarnya LSF menyensor film, iklan, sesuai kaidah yang ada. Kita sudah putuskan iklan tersebut untuk 13 tahun, bagi LSF itu sudah selesai.," kata Ketua LSF Ahmad Yani Basuki saat dihubungi, Rabu (12/12). 

Ia menambahkan, iklan tersebut tidak melanggar norma kesopanan seperti yang disebutkan oleh KPI. Namun LSF tidak bisa mencampuri keputusan KPI yang meminta menghentikan iklan tersebut. 

"Kalau menurut LSF itu enggak merusak kaidah. Yang perlu saya tegaskan, setelah sesuai dengan pedoman yang ada, UU No 33 tahun 2009 tentang Perfilman dan Peraturan Pemerintah No 18 tahun 2014 tentang Sensor Film, sudah diputuskan (iklan tersebut -red) sudah lolos sensor untuk usia 13 tahun ke atas," ungkap dia. 

Namun LSF, lanjut dia, tak bertanggung jawab kapan stasiun televisi menayangkan iklan tersebut. Jika KPI menegur pihak televisi, maka LSF tak punya hak untuk mengomentari keputusan itu. 

"Bagaimana menayangkan dan kapan ditayangkan itu domainnya KPI. Soal mereka bilang melanggar, kami hargai KPI. Dalam kaidah dan peraturan perundangan dengan usia segitu sudah pada porsinya. Persoalannya UU (Perfilman) tidak mengatur jam tayangnya, makanya kalau soal jam tayang, bagaimana patutnya TV menayangkan, itu domain KPI," urai Yani. 

Yani kemudian menjelaskan, LSF juga sering tidak meloloskan iklan-iklan yang tak patut dikonsumsi masyarakat. "Banyak juga yang nggak lolos iklan, misalnya yang mengandung ungkapan, mengundang sensitivitas bisa menimbulkan persoalanan SARA," tutupnya. 

KPI sebelumnya menjelaskan, iklan Shopee dinilai tidak memperhatikan ketentuan tentang penghormatan terhadap norma kesopanan yang diatur dalam Pedoman Perilaku Penyiaran dan Standar Program Siaran (P3SPS) KPI tahun 2012.

Hal tersebut disampaikan KPI dalam surat peringatan untuk 11 stasiun televisi berjaringan nasional ditandatangani Ketua KPI Pusat, Yuliandre Darwis, Selasa (11/12/2018). Adapun 11 stasiun televisi yang kena surat peringatan tersebut yakni Trans TV, RCTI, RTV, MNC TV, Indosiar, TV One, ANTV, Trans7, GTV, Net, dan SCTV. 

Komisioner sekaligus Koordinator bidang Isi Siaran KPI Pusat, Hardly Stefano, menyatakan pihaknya menyayangkan tampilan iklan Shopee dan program acara “Shopee Road to 12.12 Birthday Sale” karena berpotensi bertentangan dengan norma kesopanan yang dianut oleh masyarakat Indonesia secara umum. 

Sementara itu, pihak Shopee sendiri juga sudah memberikan penjelasan terkait polemik iklan BLACKPINK ini. “Untuk merespons masukan yang dialamatkan kepada kami, kami sudah berkoordinasi dengan semua pihak yang mengatur waktu penayangan iklan tersebut agar menjadi lebih tepat kepada pengguna dan calon pengguna kami," ungkap Country Brand Manager Shopee Indonesia Rezki Yanuar dalam keterangan tertulis. 

"Sesuai dengan lini waktu yang sudah kami agendakan sebelumnya, penayangan iklan tersebut memang akan berganti dengan promo Shopee 12.12 Shopee Birthday Sale pada hari ini Selasa (11 Desember 2018). Ini dikarenakan semakin dekatnya dengan puncak ulang tahun Shopee yang jatuh pada Hari Belanja Online Nasional (Harbolnas) 12 Desember," kata Rezki seraya menjelaskan bahwa iklan BLACKPINK itu telah lolos sensor LSF.
