Insiden itu terjadi di Desa Demuk, Kecamatan Pucanglaban yang berbatasan dengan wilayah Desa Maron, Kecamatan Kademangan, Kabupaten Blitar pada Kamis (14/5) malam.

Semua berawal ketika AP bersama sejumlah warga Desa Demuk berjaga di perbatasan desa.

Saat ronda malam itu, mereka mendapati Sarto berjalan sendirian sambil membawa senjata tajam.

Mengiranya sebagai pelaku kriminalitas, warga kemudian menegur Sarto namun tak dijawab.

Teguran sempat diulang beberapa kali, namun tetap tak ada respons sehingga warga dan beberapa aparat keamanan melakukan pengepungan.

Dalam situasi tegang dan terkepung itulah Sarto yang terpojok ditendang AP pada bagian kaki sebelah kanan dari arah belakang.

Tendangannya sekali namun keras dan berdampak fatal. Narto terbanting, kepalanya membentur aspal. Sabitnya pun terjatuh.



AP yang melihat posisi korban lemah, segera menindihnya, memitingnya di atas aspal.

Namun rupanya warga Desa Maron, Kecamatan Kademangan ini pingsan.

Insiden itu membuat Sarto muntah darah ketika berada di rumah. Keluarga lalu membawanya ke RSUD dr. Iskak Tulungagung.

Beberapa jam setelah dirawat, Sarto meninggal dunia. Keluarga lalu melapor ke polisi.

Dari keterangan keluarga, Sarto mempunyai riwayat gangguan jiwa.

Namun polisi belum menerima keterangan resmi dari dokter terkait kejiwaan Sarto.

“Karena belum sempat kami mintai keterangan, beliau (Sarto) sudah meninggal dunia. Kita kenakan pasal penganiayaan, 351 KUHP ayat 2 dan 3 KUHP. Ancamannya di atas lima tahun,” paparnya.

Dengan kejadian itu, Pandia, mengimbau masyarakat yang berjaga malam tak perlu membawa senjata tajam.

Bila ada hal yang perlu ditangani, lebih baik melapor ke petugas terdekat.

“Nanti anggota yang berpakaian dinas yang akan menanganinya. Dan kalau ingin keluar rumah, kami imbau untuk pakai masker. Kalau memang tidak berkepentingan mending di rumah saja,” kata Pandia.
