"Modusnya, korban ditelepon karena mendapat hadiah atau poin dari bank itu," terang Yudo, Senin (11/5/2020).

Pelaku menelepon korban dan meminta angka yang ada di bagian depan dan belakang ATM.

Selain itu pelaku juga menanyakan nama ibu korban.

Setelah itu pelaku minta kode One Time Password (OTP) yang dikirim lewat SMS.

"Karena keterbatasan pengetahuan, korban kemudian memberikan kode OTP," sambung Yudo.

Korban baru sadar menjadi korban kejahatan, saat akan melakukan transaksi.

Ternyata seluruh saldo di rekening sudah kosong.

Dari penelusuran, diketahui saldo dari rekening korban dipindah ke berbagai dompet digital.

"Jadi bukan ditarik tunai, tapi dikirim ke dompet digital yang sekarang sangat banyak jenisnya," tutur Yudo.

Nomor telepon pelaku yang dipakai menghubungi korban ternyata berbeda-beda.

Diduga pelaku beraksi secara acak, menyasar pemilik rekening bank.

Mereka hanya butuh nomor telepon dan kepastian nama dari pemilik rekening itu.

"Dan rata-rata korban ini pemilik jenis rekening tabungan yang sama. Tabungan ini memang kebanyakan milik warga pedesaan," ungkap Yudo.

Karena itu Yudo mengingatkan kepada masyarakat, jangan melayani permintaan kode OTP.

Sebab kode OTP adalah kode terakhir yang memberi izin orang untuk melakukan transaksi.

Kini polisi masih melakukan penyelidikan untuk mengungkap jaringan pelaku.
