L diduga meminta sejumlah uang kepada keluarga korban jika ingin membawa jenazah korban tsunami pulang. 

Salah satu keluarga korban tsunami yang dipungut biaya pengambilan jenazah adalah Badiamin Sinaga. Ia adalah warga Klender, Jakarta Timur. Dalam peristiwa tsunami Banten, Badiamin kehilangan tiga orang kerabatnya. Saat itu kerabatnya sedang liburan ke Pantai Carita.

Ketiga keluarga Badiamin yang menjadi korban tsunami Banten adalah Ruspin Simbolon, Leo Manulang dan seorang bayi bernama Satria.

Uang tersebut diminta sebagai pengganti biaya perawatan jenazah dan biaya ambulans. Anehnya lagi, oknum rumah sakit tersebut mengeluarkan kuitansi resmi. Sehingga pihak keluarga korban tsunami menyakini biaya pengambilan jenazah adalah resmi dari pihak rumah sakit.

Untuk mengambil ketiga jenazah tersebut Badiamin harus mengeluarkan Rp3,9 juta untuk mengambil jenazah Ruspin Simbolon, Rp1,3 juta untuk mengambil jenazah Leo Manulang dan Rp800 ribu untuk mengambil jenazah Satria. 

"Buktinya ada kok, ada kuitansinya," ungkap Badiamin, Kamis, 27 Desember 2018. 

Sementara itu, Plt Kepala Rumah Sakit dr. Derajat Prawiranegara, Sri Nurhayati mengakui seharusnya tidak ada biaya pengambilan jenazah. Namun begitu, Sri akan menindak oknum rumah sakit yang melakukan pungutan tersebut. Sebelum ditindak beberapa anak buahnya telah diperiksa polisi terkait pungutan tersebut. 

"Yang pasti akan ditindak dan sekarang mereka telah diperiksa polisi terkait pungutan itu," tambah Sri.

Menurut Sri, pelayanan kesehatan terhadap korban bencana, baik yang datang dari Kabupaten Serang dan Pandeglang, dilakukan dengan dasar kemanusiaan selama 24 jam, baik yang luka maupun meninggal. Pelayanan ditangani secara maksimal oleh aparatur, tenaga kesehatan, dan tim dokter, baik di RSDP maupun pukesmas, tanpa membedakan status ekonomi, suku, ras, dan agama.

"Terhadap pembiayaan dan kwitansi yang beredar di media massa, kami tegaskan bukan kuitansi resmi RSDP. Hal itu di luar sepengetahuan manajemen dan direksi," ujar Sri.

Sementara itu Kapolres Serang, AKBP Firman Affandi, mengaku telah memeriksa empat orang pegawai dan staf rumah sakit. Keempatnya adalah, BD sebagai kepala forensik, BY supir ambulan, FT dan AR sebagai anggota forensik rumah sakit.

"Sudah empat orang yang kita periksa, hasilnya nanti," ujar Firman.

Selain itu, polisi juga akan menggelar perkara terkait pungutan terhadap korban tsunami itu. "Nantilah, gelar perkara dulu," sambung Firman.
